Back to Campus Construction Updates

construction roadNow in the second month of construction, the campus site is showing defined outlines of some of the future features of the campus - pathways, roads, and parking areas.

Building pads for all three buildings – the dining, residential and academic facilities – are complete and now ready for foundation construction.

Over the last two weeks crews also focused on digging trenches for and installing underground utilities, including:

  • Primary sanitary sewer systems
  • Large storm water drywells - to be used for storing and infiltrating rainwater runoff.  These were installed at various locations throughout the site
  • Water lines – that will serve the buildings, fire sprinklers, and irrigation. This work is still underway

Over the next week or so, the contractor will begin to excavate foundations for the 43,650-square-foot academic building.
