Steady progress continues on OSU-Cascades’ new campus in Bend, and work has continued in spite of the first winter storm.
This past week the contractor completed pouring the concrete floors on the ground floor, second and third levels, and roof of the academic building.
In the coming weeks the permanent stairs will be installed on the interior of the building and the exterior walls will begin to be installed, as well as the many mechanical and electrical systems that will serve the building.
Construction on the residence hall is now in full swing, with under-slab utilities being installed and foundation work well under way. The residence hall will begin to take shape in January when steel is installed and walls begin to take shape.
Foundation work on the dining building – located between the other two buildings – will begin in the coming weeks.
