Meanwhile, carpet, interior doors, and other finishes are being installed in Tykeson Hall. This week power to the building was turned on and the contractor began the process of starting up and testing the building's mechanical equipment to prepare for occupants.
In the residence hall, finishes continue to go on the exterior of the building. The building scaffolding will be removed along the Century Drive face next week, giving a clear view of the nearly-finished walls. On the interior finish materials are beginning to go in and framing is coming to an end.
At the dining building, installation of windows on the exterior of the building started this week. On the interior, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems are continuing to be installed on both levels of the building.
