open spaces

As part of the community outreach process, community members weighed in on design concepts and provide input on what amenities they would like to see on the campus.

We envision the campus offering walking and running paths, and indoor and outdoor spaces for public cultural events.

The complementary integration of the campus into the Central Oregon landscape is very important to our students, staff, faculty and community.  A number of sustainability-focused efforts (e.g. native plant species replanting projects) hope to not only restore the site, but to provide a campus that feels right at home in the high desert.
