How do I ask questions about the event?

Where is OSU-Cascades and the residence hall?

Our campus is located at 1500 SW Chandler Avenue in Bend, which is 1.9 miles from downtown, 1.3 miles from the Old Mill District, and near hiking and biking trails and outdoor recreation opportunities. The residence hall is located on the campus.

How are the residence hall rooms configured?

Each room has two twin beds, and each bed comes with a basic linen set including a pillow and towels. You are welcome to bring a favorite pillow from home! You will share a bathroom (doors have locks) with one neighboring room. The building’s Wi-Fi access and laundry facilities are included in your registration fee, as is the use of the lounges and kitchenettes on your floor. 

Is parking provided for the event?

Yes, you can park in the lot on campus.

What is the policy on bringing minors?

Minors are welcome. Visit the Conference Services policy page for more information.

What should I be thinking about regarding eye safety?

Protect those eyes! It is never safe to look directly at the sun's rays – even if the sun is partly obscured. Solar viewing glasses will be provided by OSU-Cascades. See NASA’s guide for eye safety during a solar eclipse.

Will I have access to Wi-Fi?

Yes. The building’s Wi-Fi access is included in your registration fee.

Can I use alcohol, marijuana or other drugs on site?

No alcohol or drugs may be possessed or consumed by any guest in the residence halls, dining hall, academic building, even by those 21 and older.

Can I bring my animals with me?

Sorry, no pets. Pets are not permitted in the residence hall at any time.

What about local medical facilities?

There are medical facilities near the campus. Check out our local Health Care Providers.

Any air conditioning in the rooms?

The hall is not air conditioned, and while it’s a comfortable temperature, feel free to bring a small fan in case you get warm.
