Ride a Zagster bike downtown or to the Old Mill, walk the Deschutes River Trail, grab a picnic from a local food store and go watch the sunset, or dine at a local brew pub. The evening is all yours!

Late Night
Still up?
Wind down in the lounge before you overnight in the residence hall. We’ll have board games and our pool table ready for you.

Sunday, August 20

Breakfast in the Beaver Dam
Selections include eggs, pancakes and waffles, yogurts and cereals, oatmeal, fruit, juice, and coffee/tea.

10 - 11:30 a.m.
Build a Solar Oven (S'mores!)
What’s more fitting on the eve of the solar eclipse than s’mores from your own solar oven! This workshop is for adults and kids. Materials provided.

10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Fun and Games

It’s time to play! Join us on the front lawn for a variety of games for people of all ages.  No skills required, just a sense of fun.

Hop on a Zagster bike and enjoy lunch at the Old Mill, or walk to an area eatery.

3 - 4 p.m.
Body Speak: If Our Cells Could Talk

Join OSU-Cascades' kinesiology instructor Tim Burnett for a journey deep inside the human body, where billions of cells communicate with one another, so that we can perform functions from the routine to the amazing.

5 - 6 p.m.
Modeling the Eclipse

Join OSU-Cascades’ Roundhouse Foundation Faculty Scholar of Science Education, Professor Michael Giamellaro for a fascinating, hands-on exploration of what’s really happening as the moon crosses in front of the sun.

Dine Around

Share the evening with your new Eclipse Experience friends. We’ll partner you in advance with four fellow Experience guests, then together you can enjoy a no-host dinner at a restaurant of your choosing. Sign up in advance.

Today is yours to experience your own personal once-in-a-lifetime eclipse. Grab your OSU-Cascades eclipse glasses and stay nearby where you’ll see 99.6% of the eclipse, or venture further afield toward the path of totality.
