Frequent COCC-DPP Questions

How do I know which courses to take at COCC for my OSU degree?

Use the COCC Transfer Guides, COCC Bacc Core Guide and work with your OSU-Cascades advisor to plan for COCC and OSU courses. COCC-DPP admitted students are also able to contact the COCC advising center for COCC specific advising needs. Contact your advisor if you have a COCC advising hold.

Students must take transferable courses from COCC. Courses must be listed on the Transfer COCC Table to ensure they will apply to DPP credits.

I am ready to register what do I do?

Use COCC schedule of classes to plan your term. Determine your registration date and time and follow the COCC Registration link above.

I have met with my advisor, and later decided to add a COCC class. I noticed I have a COCC Advising Hold.

You must inform your OSU-Cascades advisor if you decided to take COCC classes and have an Advising hold. Students are responsible for checking for these holds. Please let your advisor know, and provide your OSU or COCC ID so they can clear the hold for that term.

Will COCC automatically drop me from my course for non-attendance?

COCC will likely drop you from your course if you do not attend the first full week of class! OSU does NOT do this. Make sure you are indeed dropped from any courses you do not plan to attend. Refer to the COCC Attendance Requirement.

What is the COCC waitlist process?

COCC waitlist process is different than OSU. Take some time to understand each policy.
