Roxie Kanable came to OSU-Cascades as a freshman and jumped right in. At the end of her first year, she became a resident advisor and continued as an RA through her senior year. “I like the experience of seeing people grow and change throughout the year,” she said.
Roxie is a natural resources major and has bonded with her natural resources cohort, which she describes as being made up of people with “good hearts and good heads.”
During her time at OSU-Cascades she was a first-year student mentor and the star of a student recruitment video. She participated in an environmental education internship with the Upper Deschutes Watershed Council and helped with an undergraduate research project monitoring volcanic lakes.
She’s been hired as a ranger assistant at The Cove Palisades State Park and looks forward to teaching people of all ages about our natural world. Roxie is a true OSU-Cascades Beaver Believer.
