Student Hiring Eligibility Requirements

Minimum GPA

  • Student employees must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 during the term in which they are employed in addition to holding a cumulative GPA of 2.0.

Academic Standing

  • Student employees must be in current good academic standing for the term in which they are holding a student employment position.

Enrollment Credits

  • Student employees must be enrolled in 6 (six) credit hours or more through OSU-Cascades or COCC and can work a maximum of 20 hours per week.

Post-Graduation

  • Students who have graduated from OSU-Cascades are no longer eligible to hold a student employment position.

Hiring A Student

Required Student Employee New Hire Paperwork

Human Resources will communicate with the student regarding obtaining new hire documents and if applicable CHC/MVR screenings. Once all required documentation and screenings have been completed, Human Resources will notify the hiring manager/supervisor that the student may begin employment. Under no circumstance is a student to begin employment until this process has been completed in its entirety.
