OSU-Cascades Announces 2012 Distinguished Students

The Distinguished Student award is one of the top honors given at OSU-Cascades.  Recipients are selected by members of the faculty.  The award recognizes a student from within each degree area in the current graduating class for outstanding achievement in academics and contribution to their field.  

Distinguished Students consistently show a passion for learning and a dedication to their field of study and to the OSU-Cascades community.  The Distinguished Student award was initiated in 2004.

The awards ceremony and reception will be held Friday, June 15, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m at Cascades Hall on the OSU-Cascades campus.  Henry Sayre, Distinguished Professor of Art History and a former leader of the campus will serve as emcee, and Vice President Becky Johnson will host a reception for the students, their families and others.  Bob Eberhard, president of Eberhard's Dairy Products of Redmond and OSU-Cascades 2012 Commencement Speaker will offer remarks.
