A Michigan native, Adam is an explorer at heart with a background in branding, design and video. A DIY nerd, he takes on challenges with an open mind and a passion for the learning process. With an obsession for living simply, Adam and his wife Elizabeth took to the road in their Volkswagen van (Sophie) in the spring of 2014 and ended up in Central Oregon.
Prior to OSU-Cascades he owned and operated his own agency and local art gallery in Grand Rapids, MI, worked as a creative consultant in the specialty coffee industry, wrote a blog devoted solely to snacks, and spent years behind a camera and screen shooting and editing photos and video as a freelancer.
Adam enjoys everything outdoors. If he isn’t hiking a trail next to a river he is probably elbow deep in earth doing some farming or ripping down a mountain on his trusty teal mountain bike. Always up for adventure, camping in the deep forest is his preferred place of worship.
When not stuck behind a screen or spending time in nature he is most likely making something while drinking coffee. Whether it be home brew hard cider, beer, kombucha, bread or something else involving fermentation, he loves learning new processes and experimenting.
