Laura Kloss has been a career counselor since 2006 and enjoys working with diverse populations of undergraduate students, graduate students, and alumni in a variety of academic programs. She works with students and alumni through all stages of the career development process but what she loves most about her job is helping people to discover their passions and identify majors and careers that will be a good fit for them. Laura encourages students to set goals and define objectives to achieve their dreams, and takes pride in educating others on how to best market their skills and experiences to employers for career success.
Laura received her bachelor and master's degrees in psychology and counseling from Bemidji State University in northern Minnesota (who also happen to be the Beavers). In addition to her education, she enjoyed playing Division I women’s ice hockey for Bemidji – Go Beavs! She grew up in Michigan and has lived in Delaware, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, and Minnesota, and moved to Bend with her husband in 2014. When not in her office Laura can most likely be found on a local bike or running trail, Mt. Bachelor, or a nearby body of water with a fishing pole in her hand. She is excited to be a part of the OSU-Cascades community as it works together to establish the four-year campus.
