Biography

Maribeth, in addition to study abroad advising, is an academic advisor for many undergraduate programs at OSU-Cascades. She has worked in higher education for over 16 years in various advising roles. Maribeth truly enjoys working with students and helping them to navigate through the higher educational system to pursue their degrees. 

Maribeth is a Wisconsin native who now calls Bend, Oregon home. She earned a B.S.W in social work from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, earned a master’s degree in international and comparative education from Indiana University in Bloomington and studied abroad as an undergrad through the University of Wisconsin-Platteville’s program in Seville, Spain for an academic year. She has also taken Spanish classes at language schools in both Spain and Mexico. Her most recent travels have taken her to Argentina, Peru, Colombia and Ecuador. 

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, riding her horse and of course, traveling.
