About Us

Mission Statement

The Office of Student Life enhances the mission of OSU-Cascades by providing services, resources, activities, and involvement opportunities to support the co-curricular experience of our students. We strive to connect students to the campus community, create opportunities to expand leadership skills, and inspire students to be life-long learners.

Sustainability Commitment

The OSU-Cascades Office of Student Life is excited to be recognized by the OSU Sustainability Office as a 2020 Gold-certified "Green Office". This illustrates our commitment to reducing water and energy use, recycling, and advocating for environmental conservation. You can learn more about the Green Office certification program on the Oregon State University website.

What We Do

The Office of Student Life oversees all of our co-curricular activities. These are things like Student Government, Student Fee Committee, Student Organizations, Cascades Adventures, Club Sports, and campus-wide programming. Additionally, we oversee the First-Year Experience programming designed to support our newest students.

Get Involved with Student Organizations

The Office of Student Life oversees our Student Organizations. Getting involved on campus is one of the most important things you can do to make yourself a well-rounded student and highly marketable after you graduate. The leadership skills you gain and the resume building opportunities are an invaluable part of your university experience. Plus it's a great way to meet people who share a similar interest. There are lots of student organizations to get involved in and if you don't find one that fits, find three other friends and start a new one. For more information about getting involved visit our Student Organizations page.

Cascades Adventures

Cascades Adventures is a program designed to provide students, faculty and staff with an opportunity to participate in outdoor activities, outings, programs and workshops. Come join us and meet new folks, try new activities, learn some new outdoor skills and have fun! Cascades Adventures aims at providing enriching experiences for all levels of outdoor enthusiasts. For more information about our Outdoor Recreation program visit the Cascades Adventures page.

Club Sports

The location of campus close to Mt. Bachelor and the Three Sisters Wilderness provides a world-renowned setting for students to participate in a variety of recreation-based team activities. We have a competition level Nordic & Alpine Ski/Snow Board team, Esports team, Rock Climbing team, and a 4-season Cycling Team. Our skiers and snow boarders have competed at Nationals and have even been invited to compete at the University World Games in Asia. Our competitive Rock Climbing Club Team competes in the Northwest Collegiate Climbing Circuit (NC3) and qualified to compete in Nationals last spring. Our Cycling Club team also regularly places high in rankings and competes in road, mountain, and Cyclocross disciplines. Our Esports team will be competing in the Collegiate StarLeague (CSL) this year. CSL is one of the world's largest collegiate gaming leagues and tournament operators. Sport Clubs are open to athletes of all skill levels. For more information about Our OSU-C teams, visit Bend Beavs Central.

Associated Students of Cascades Campus (ASCC)

ASCC is OSU-Cascade's Student Government. ASCC advocates for student initiatives, hosts events, supports students through programs such as Child Care Subsidy and represents the student voice to the university. ASCC is a great place to get involved in campus student leadership. For more information about Student Government, visit the ASCC page.

Student Fee Committee (SFC)

OSU-Cascades Student Fee Committee (SFC) is a group of student leaders responsible for the allocation of student incidental fees. Students build budgeting and civic skills, while getting to know this campus and serving their fellow students. This committee is a fundamental opportunity to shape what services, programs and activities are available for the students on this campus and will create the future legacy of OSU-Cascades. For more information about student fees, visit the SFC page.

First-Year Experience

The First-Year Experience program helps new students become thriving members of the OSU-Cascades community. We coordinate New Student Orientation and provide programming for first-year students. First-Year Program Coordinators are here to help students navigate their first year at OSU-Cascades.

Events Council

The Office of Student Life hosts numerous campus-wide events throughout the year. The Student Events Council is a group of students who are committed to creating these opportunities for our campus community. For more information about getting involved or upcoming events visit the Events Council page.

Fitness Center

The Office of Student Life manages the on-campus Fitness Center located on the 1st floor of the Residence Hall. The Fitness Center is free for students to use and is normally open daily. Additionally, we offer three group fitness classes per week, all free for students. For more information about the Fitness Center visit the Fitness Center page
