Fermentation Education - April 21st

Fermentation Education is an educational event on April 21st, 2017 in TYKH 111 from 5:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. Fermentation plays a key role in the life of all Oregonians. Throughout the evening we'll explore topics ranging from the history and science behind fermentation, the economic and agricultural impacts, sustainability practices, and global marketing ventures. Representatives from local breweries, distilleries, and bakeries will speak on how fermentation influences our community  In addition to the lectures, there will also be an internship fair where students will be able to talk with hiring managers from local fermentation based companies about summer jobs and internship opportunities. The evening will close with a tasting session sponsored by local breweries, distilleries, and others for attendees aged 21 and over. The topic of fermentation can be related to all academic majors here at OSU-Cascades and is crucial to the Central Oregon culture
