OSU-Cascades Spring Commute Challenge begins May 7!

It's not too late to join and earn weekly prizes. Log trips for Week 1 by May 14 at Noon.

From May 7 to May 18, 2018, teams will compete to win prizes by using active transportation to access campus. We challenge each team to collectively make 60 trips to/from campus by foot, bike, bus, or carpool.

Join a team, log up to two commute-related trips, and help your team win the weekly prizes and a grand prize. (trips from the long-term parking lot and the GRC qualify)

The team with the most commute points at the end of the challenge will win the grand prize: An exclusive "Bend Beavs" t-shirt for each team member!

End the challenge on a great note by participating in National Bike to Work (Campus) Day! May 18 will be a day designed for non-bikers and expert bikers alike to celebrate this day with biking to campus and a party to follow!

Teams (Subject to Change)

Teams will be no greater than 8 people, with only one faculty member per team. The given faculty member will serve as the team captain, but students are welcome to create their own teams.

All students are available to join a team of their choice, and any employee not identified below is a "free agent."

Prizes

Active commute trips qualify for weekly prize drawings and towards the team grand prize. All trips qualify for rewards through Cascades Commuters. Grand prizes will be assessed based on a point system. 1 point is earned for each commute trip logged, and 1/20 point earned for every mile logged. Since the formula is what will be used to determine the winning team, drivelessconnect.com's leader board will not be accurate.

The team that logs the most active commute trips will win the grand prize: a Bend Beavs t-shirt for each team member. Each individual who meets the given trip incentive of four days over a two week period will receive an Emerald City Smoothie gift card. There will be a weekly drawing for two $25 gift cards to Bend Downtown shops. Entries for each weekly drawing will be determined by the amount of trips made via bike each individual has made throughout the week. Weekly prizes not based on a drawing will also be offered, as detailed in the table below. Winners will be notified by email.

Weekly Prize Criteria: Most Bike Trips Logged by Team
