Our students are doers, builders, creators and thinkers. They are artists, writers, entrepreneurs, and nature-lovers who are excited about what OSU in Bend has to offer. Check out this video with real-life footage from real OSU-Cascades students.
Our brand-new, state of the art residence hall is a great place to call home. All rooms have attached bathrooms. There's a kitchen and lounge on every floor, a fitness center, and gear storage. And you're just steps away from some of the best dining in Bend, Oregon — the Beaver Dam!
Bend is such a special place for so many reasons. The community is close-knit and friendly. You can ski at Bachelor one day and hike in the Badlands the next. It's got a thriving arts community, been voted Best Small City for Business by Forbes, and is on many "Best Of" outdoor recreation lists.

In Kim Vierra's project management class, students work on a team to initiate, plan, execute a project successfully. "The biggest thing I learned from Kim is having tenacity, drive, and believing in yourself. Because she believed in us, and I took that to heart," said Kenny Hersh, Computer Science '20.
The ATD applies to all newly admitted students and is your official way of confirming your intent to enroll at OSU and is payable online through myOSU portal.
The OSU Admission Application included a scholarship section that covers the majority of OSU's various scholarship opportunities. Some OSU colleges and academic departments offer scholarships to students majoring in their programs. After you have been offered admission you will want to login into ScholarDollars for additional scholarship opportunities. We also recommend applying for scholarships outside of OSU.
Cascades START (new student orientation) is an opportunity for new OSU-Cascades students to come meet with an academic advisor based on the major you state when you sign-up for orientation, and register for courses. In addition, both students and parents are provided useful information to familiarize them with OSU-Cascades, including information on financial aid, campus policies, and student account set-up. You will be invited to attend orientation once the Advance Tuition Deposit (ATD) is paid. For questions about Cascades START, call 541-322-3100, ext. 1.
