In just a short 25 years, marijuana has gone from demonized to legalized—but this transition is not without intense debate. Are hallucinogens on the precipice of a similar transition? For those who want to learn more about marijuana and hallucinogens, this workshop will discuss the high, the health impacts and the history of drug regulation. Designed for those who want to debate the issue and anyone interested in learning more about all aspects of recreational drugs, OSU-Cascades psychology instructor Peter Sparks will provide an enlightening overview of these drugs and facilitate engaging conversations.
Peter Sparks is the program lead and senior instructor for the psychology department at OSU-Cascades. His research focuses on the intersection between the mind and the body and he maintains an avid, and active, interest in neurological explanations of mental phenomena.
