This page contains information specific to OSU-Cascades students.
OSU requires COVID-19 vaccinations for students and employees who learn, work or engage with others in-person during classes or university activities on campus. Students can comply with this policy by confirming their vaccination status through the patient portal, or complete a declination process. Learn the latest on vaccination and booster requirements for employees, and how to upload proof of up-to-date compliance.
Masks are welcome but no longer required at OSU. Those at higher risk should continue to wear masks. On March 12, 2022, the Oregon Health Authority lifted the statewide indoor mask mandate. Masks are still required in health care* (including counseling) settings and public transportation. Learn more about OSU's mask guidance.
Masks, including N95 masks, are available at no charge to OSU-Cascades faculty, staff and students during weekday business hours:
OSU follows a general COVID-19 Safety and Success Policy which provides guidance on COVID-19 risk reduction requirements and recommendations, including the use of face coverings. The policy also includes provisions regarding positive COVID-19 case notification, isolation and quarantine procedures, and expectations for ongoing participation in contact tracing.
OSU-Cascades is requesting that all faculty, staff, and students voluntarily notify the university of a positive COVID-19 diagnosis via an email to covid-19@osucascades.edu. This notification will ensure appropriate support and resources are provided to those who have been exposed or tested positive. This information will only be utilized for the specific purposes of providing support, resources and fulfilling the university’s requirement to assist local public health authorities by reporting positive cases within our community. This confidential information will be protected to the fullest extent allowed by state and federal law and only disclosed for the purposes described above.
