Teysha Bowser
Dr. Bowser earned their Ph.D. in Education: Counselor Education and Supervision at the University of Nevada, Reno and her MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at New Mexico State University. She currently serves as an Editorial Board Member of the Journal of LGBT Issues in Counseling and is a member of the Sandplay Therapists of America (STA) Temenos Committee. Their scholarly interests include Racial Battle Fatigue, Gendered/Intersectional Microaggressions, Historical and Intergenerational Trauma, and 2SLGBTGIA+ concerns.
OSU-Cascades launches national search for main developer for future innovation district
Planners at Oregon State University – Cascades have released a request for proposals for a developer to lead the development of the first phase of the campus’s future innovation district.
OSU-Cascades is seeking a strategic and long-term development partner to oversee the creation of a dynamic built environment that can help realize the university’s vision for the innovation district, attracting mature anchor and startup company tenants to collaborate with the university.
Patrick Dinges
Patrick (he/him) earned his B.A. in social studies education from WSUin 2023 and spent the last two years in the classroom in several roles. While an undergraduate, he was a member of the campus ambassador team which sparked his interest in working in admissions and recruitment. He is excited to be working with students and helping them achieve their aspirations of higher education.
Michele Rice
Michele received her B.A. in Psychology from Loyola Marymount University and her M.S. in School Counseling from CSU Northridge. She feels blessed to have had the opportunity to gain invaluable experience in a variety of roles in secondary education, including teaching, counseling, and administration. Most recently, Michele served as a site program director for Onward Scholars, a scholarship, mentoring, and college access program. She is excited to support the outreach and admissions efforts at OSU Cascades!
Charlotte Scott
Charlotte received her B.A. in Spanish from Whitman College and Ed.M. in College Student Services Administration from Oregon State University. She has worked with students of all ages and enjoys the sense of community fostered on a small campus like OSU-Cascades. Charlotte strives to work with students in developing skills to navigate challenges both in college and life.
OSU-Cascades launches degree in accountancy to address statewide shortage of accountants
Oregon State University – Cascades will offer a new bachelor’s degree in accountancy in the fall of 2025 to address the growing need for financial experts in Central Oregon and across the state.
About 1,300 jobs are projected to open annually for accountants and auditors through 2032 in Oregon, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
OSU-Cascades plans to consolidate campus operations, sell Graduate & Research Center
Planners at Oregon State University – Cascades are seeking to sell the Graduate & Research Center as they prepare for the consolidation of academic and other operations onto the university campus on Chandler Avenue in Bend.
The Graduate & Research Center will be listed for sale this week with Fratzke Commercial for $8.2 million.
The Graduate & Research Center is OSU-Cascades’ only off-campus property. Located at 650 SW Columbia Street in Bend, the 28,000 square-foot building was purchased in 2011 with private, state and university funds.
