OSU-Cascades hosts open houses for adults interested in returning to college

Oregon State University – Cascades will host a series of open houses for adults in the area interested in returning to school to finish a bachelor’s degree. 

The open houses will feature representatives from OSU-Cascades who can provide an overview of the university's new campus and advise attendees on admissions and transfer requirements, academic degree programs, undergraduate research opportunities, career counseling services, and financial aid. The application deadline for fall term is Sept. 1.

Bank of the Cascades Foundation has established a needs-based scholarship fund for incoming freshmen at Oregon State University - Cascades.  The Foundation recently gave $50,000 to OSU’s growing campus in Bend to assist first-year students who might not otherwise be able to afford college.

Class of 2016 continues three-year trend as largest in OSU-Cascades history

At its 15th Commencement on Sunday, June 12, Oregon State University - Cascades will set a record when it awards 379 bachelor’s and master’s degrees, and graduates the largest class in its history for the third consecutive year. This marks a 20 percent increase in degrees conferred over the previous year.

Campus officials anticipate that more than 2,500 family and friends of graduates will attend the ceremonies at the Les Schwab Amphitheater in Bend. Nearly 270 students plan to participate in the ceremonies.
