Amy Watson received her Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of Arkansas. With a focus on consumer behavior, her research examines how individuals use consumption to influence social interaction and how consumers incorporate labels into product evaluation and decision making. She is passionate about branding and loves teaching students how to convert consumer behavior insights into branding strategy. Before entering her Ph.D. program she worked in one of the nation’s largest privately owned food advertisers working for clients such as PepsiCo, Tyson, and Mars, Incorporated. She uses this experience and her continued interaction with the advertising industry to teach students how to translate branding strategy into advertising communication. She and her husband Ben have 4 dogs and love spending time with them outdoors.
