Dayna is a licensed teacher who has lived in Bend since 2015. She grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and has a bachelor’s degree in liberal studies and an elementary teaching credential and K-12 special education teaching credential from Dominican University of California. She also holds a Master’s in Education with an emphasis in full inclusion of special education students.
Prior to her five years in elementary education, Dayna worked for more than 10 years in early childhood education, starting as an assistant and moving up to program manager in the pre-k classroom. She has always had a passion for early childhood education and the learning that takes place in those early years. She believes every child is special and unique, and that young children learn best through play, exploration and each other.
Dayna and her husband moved to Bend for the outdoor lifestyle and friendly community. Their children Ryleigh and Maverick are proud students of Little Beavs Child Care and are excited to come to school everyday.
