Janet Rankin earned her master's degree in history and her bachelor's degree in humanities from California State University, Sacramento. Her studies in grad school concentrated on women's history and the New Deal Era projects and policies. Janet's areas of expertise are women's history, U.S. history, world history, and western civilizations. In her courses, she works to make connections between the past and the present and helps students understand why history is relevant to their lives today. Janet loves hiking and biking in and around Central Oregon and perusing the farmer's markets. Her favorite pastimes include traveling, watching Jeopardy, and participating in pub trivia nights.
