The Budget Hearing is the process in which OSU-Cascades students allocate student fees for the following fiscal year (July 1, 2020 - June 30, 2021). Each organization that receives OSU-Cascades student fees is required to present their requested budget to the Student Fee Committee for the Budget Hearing.
The Budget Hearing is a public, open meeting.
Due to this unprecedented time with remote learning and COVID-19, SFC will be hosting the first ever Virtual Budget Hearing.
Instead of previous models, which required attendance to a 15 minute presentation with SFC in person, this virtual model will require you to submit a video in lieu of your presentation.
If you are a club, your video should be no more than 5 minutes in length. If you are another organization, your video should be no longer than 10 minutes in length unless you are otherwise instructed.
This video will be submitted through the Student Life Canvas Page, where there is an assignment under the SFC Module. If you do not have access to the Student Life Canvas Page, email your video and supporting budget/documents to email@example.com.
Budget hearing videos for the 2020-2021 academic year were due May 1st, 2020. Each club and student organization exec team has received notification of their budget request allocation.
There is a spreadsheet template in the templates below. Clubs and organizations were required to upload it for use with their presentation and submission.
