How to Apply for Housing

Reasons to Live on Campus

  • Get the first pick of rooms on campus.
  • Enjoy a 10% discount on all meals at the Beaver Dam.
  • Continue using your leftover Dining Dollars. All students with money remaining on their dining plan at the end of spring term 2017 can continue using that money next year with the Rollover Dining Plan.
  • Avoid the hassle of off-campus rentals. Living on campus means one bill and no required deposits or security fees! All utilities, WiFi and laundry facilities are included.
  • Live with other returning students.
  • PAC-12 Pride: On-campus residents have exclusive access to view all OSU games through the Pac-12 Networks! Watch via your TV, laptop or device.
  • Safety and Security: While families can’t always be there to support students in person, know that OSU-Cascades housing staff is there to help your student manage the stress of college life. You can rest assured knowing that the Department of Public Safety is on campus and the first to respond in an emergency.
  • Academic Support: Students on campus are more likely to create study groups and can utilize free tutors on campus. Students who live on campus are more likely to graduate sooner than those who live off-campus.
  • Student Employment: Students who live on campus gain proximity to dozens of job opportunities. On-campus work equals flexible work schedules, work study positions and a very short commute!
  • Flexible Contracts: Students wanting to study abroad or pursue an off-campus internship during the academic year can cancel their OSU-Cascades UHDS contract with no penalty to participate in a university affiliated or sponsored program.
