Welcome Week Fall 2016
Map of New Campus
Construction is finishing up on Tykeson Hall, the academic center opening fall 2016. The dining building and residential complex are on track to open winter 2017.
We’re making it easier for you to get to campus without your car. Plus, we’ll reward you when you choose to walk, bike, skate, bus or carpool to campus. Why? Because, we want to help you save money, reduce our campus impacts on the environment, and improve your health! Need help planning a sustainable route to campus? Sign up for a transportation consultation!
Two paid parking lots - one on and one near campus - serve students, faculty and staff. Parking fees vary based on the lot, length of stay and frequency of use. The on-campus lot is for short-term, hourly parking. Priority spaces are for car/van pool vehicles. The off-campus lot is on Simpson Ave., near the ice rink. It’s a 10-minute walk from campus, or hop on a CET bus. You can view parking fees and sign up for a parking plan beginning in September.
The residence hall on the new campus will open winter term. There have been rooms set aside for upper-level students so if you are in need of housing, please see our housing website. You can live in Juniper Hall on the COCC campus until the move to the new campus.
The new dining hall is also scheduled to open winter term. We expect this building to become a gathering place for the campus community and hope you will take advantage of the great services University Housing and Dining will offer.
Our Student Wellness center provides services for students, we are offering community wellness classes for credit like yoga, dance, and weight-lifting, and alternative modes of transportation can help you get a workout in daily.
