Beaver Block Party

Join OSU-Cascades for an evening of live music, food, games and community on the Oval Green. Students, employees, families, friends and neighbors from across Central Oregon are invited to come together and celebrate the start of fall at OSU-Cascades.
Campus meets community.
The Beaver Block Party brings OSU-Cascades and the broader Bend community together for an evening of live music, local food and non-alcoholic beverages, yard games and community connection on the Oval Green.
Whether you’re a Beaver, a neighbor or simply looking for a great way to spend a September evening, you’re invited.
This event is free and open to all.

Local food and non-alcoholic beverage vendors will be serving throughout the evening. Grab something to eat, find a spot on the Oval Green and enjoy the show.
Food and beverages will be available for purchase from participating vendors. OSU-Cascades students will receive a pre-paid meal voucher upon entry.

Know Before You Go
The Beaver Block Party is an outdoor event on the OSU-Cascades Oval Green. Guests are encouraged to dress for the weather and bring a blanket or folding/camping chair for seating on the lawn.
For the safety of our guests, all attendees are subject to security screening and the OSU clear bag policy upon entry. Please review the approved and prohibited items below before arriving.
Clear Bag Policy
Guests may bring:
- Clear bags no larger than 12" x 6" x 12"
- One-gallon clear plastic storage bags
- Small clutch bags no larger than 4.5" x 8.5", with or without a handle or strap
Non-clear backpacks, large purses and other bags that do not meet these requirements will not be permitted.
Approved Items
- Baby bottles
- Binoculars
- Blankets
- Cameras for still photography
- Folding or camping chairs
- Clear bags no larger than 12" x 6" x 12"
- One-gallon clear plastic storage bags
- Empty non-glass water bottles
- Sealed water bottles
- Medically required liquids
- Necessary personal effects, such as keys, wallets and make-up
- Outside food required for dietary or medical needs
- Outside food for children age 2 and younger
- Seat cushions
- Service animals
- Small clutch bags no larger than 4.5" x 8.5"
- Strollers
Water bottles may be brought onto the Oval Green only if sealed. Unsealed bottles must be empty upon entry; water refill stations will be available at the event.
Prohibited Items
For the safety and security of all guests, items not included on the approved list will not be permitted on the Oval Green. Prohibited items include:
- Non-clear backpacks
- Bags or purses larger than 4.5" x 8.5" unless they meet the clear bag requirements above
- Alcohol
- Outside food or beverages, except approved dietary, medical and young-child accommodations
- Glass containers
- Metal cans
- Coolers
- Balloons
- Flags or signs on poles or sticks
- Weapons of any kind, including firearms and knives
- Fireworks or explosives
- Flammable materials
- Pets, except service animals
- Drones
- Tobacco, electronic cigarettes and vapor products
- Wrapped gifts
- Chainsaws
- Live beavers
Food and Beverages
Local food and non-alcoholic beverage vendors will be serving throughout the Beaver Block Party, with food and beverages available for purchase.
Guests with dietary or medical needs may bring necessary outside food. Food for children age 2 and younger is also permitted.
Seating
The Oval Green is a grass lawn with open seating. Guests are encouraged to bring a blanket, seat cushion or folding/camping chair. Seating is first come, first served.
Drug, Alcohol & Tobacco Free
The Beaver Block Party is a drug-, alcohol- and tobacco-free event. Alcohol, tobacco products, electronic cigarettes and vapor products may not be brought onto campus or into the event.
Security & Entry
All guests will enter through designated event entrances and may be subject to bag and security screening. Please allow additional time for entry and leave prohibited items at home.
Accessibility
Service animals and medically necessary items are permitted. Guests who require disability-related accommodations or have questions about accessibility may contact events@osucascades.edu in advance of the event.
