Kathleen Phillips, MCoun, LPC, NCC, serves as the Clinic Director, Internship Coordinator, and Instructor in the Master of Counseling program. In addition to teaching and supervising graduate students, she maintains a private counseling practice where she specializes in supporting adult women. As both a practicing counselor and a proud graduate of this program, Kathleen brings her professional and personal experience to support and collaborate with students as they begin their counseling careers.
Teaching and Supervision Approach
Kathleen is committed to fostering meaningful connections with students, supervisees, and clients. Drawing from Existential, Relational-Cultural, and Narrative theories, she values the practice of slowing down, being present, and deeply listening to develop authentic connection. Her favorite course—both as a student and now as an instructor—is Practicum, where she gets to experience the bridge between academic learning and real-life application.
