Teaching and Counseling Supervision Approach

Dr. Hadeed's teaching philosophy is rooted in existential and phenomenological traditions, emphasizing the therapeutic relationship, authentic presence, and reflective self-awareness as foundational to effective clinical practice. She draws on her background in systems-centered theory and intersectional feminist frameworks to create learning environments that honor the complexity of identity, power, and cultural context.

In supervision, Dr. Hadeed employs a strength-based, developmentally responsive model that supports supervisees in cultivating their own clinical voice while deepening their capacity for ethical, culturally responsive care. Her supervision integrates somatic awareness, parallel process reflection, and experiential learning. She holds particular interest in supporting clinicians navigating trauma work with historically underserved populations.
