The center serves as a practicum site for college students who are entering the field of Human Development and Family Sciences and Early Childhood Education/Teaching from both OSU-Cascades and COCC campuses.
Students receive an orientation to the center’s philosophy, policies and procedures to enhance the experience of meeting their curriculum goals at their campus. In addition to the supervision they receive from their educational facility, they are assigned a mentor teacher on staff who partners with them to ensure success in our environment.
Student teachers and volunteers are under staff supervision at all times when working with children in the center.
