OSU-Cascades surplus property available free to non-profits and for public sale

In conjunction with Oregon State University – Cascades’ move to its new campus, a variety of items of surplus office and classroom equipment and supplies will be available to Central Oregon non-profit organizations and then to the public at events this week.

Items include chairs, bookcases, file cabinets, tables and more.

The events will take place in Cascades Hall on the Central Oregon Community College Campus at 2600 NW College Way, Bend, Ore.

The non-profit surplus giveaway event will be held from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 7.  In order to qualify for entry, non-profit representatives must provide a letter from the Internal Revenue Service confirming non-profit status.  Donations must be used by the non-profit entity and are not for personal use.  Donated items must be removed from the premises no later than 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 8.

The public surplus sale event will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 9.  All items will be sold “as is, where is” with no refunds or returns. Sales will be made on a first-come, first-served basis. No pre-sales are available. Cash, check and Visa or MasterCard payments will be accepted. Sold items must be taken from Cascades Hall no later than 4:00 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 10.
