Individuals interested in applying to the Low Residency Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing at Oregon State University – Cascades are invited to an open house to learn about the program’s curriculum, application requirements and financial aid.

The open house is slated for Thursday, Sept. 10 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and will take place at the Graduate & Research Center at 650 S.W. Columbia Avenue in Bend.

Attendees will meet with the program director, Emily Carr, as well as admissions representatives, academic advisors and current students.

The MFA in creative writing is a low-residency program that incorporates instruction in the craft and profession of creative writing. Students each embark on a long-distance and individualized course of study with a faculty mentor, and twice a year join fellow students for intensive 10-day residences of craft workshops, literature lectures and professional seminars at Caldera Arts near Sisters, Ore.

The priority deadline to apply is February 1, 2016.

Light refreshments will be served. To register visit OSUcascades.edu/openhouse or call 541-322-3100.
