Biography

Patty Christopher comes to OSU-Cascades as a life-long educator. Receiving her B.A. and master's degree from San Diego State University, she became an elementary and middle school teacher in North San Diego County Schools. After teaching twenty years, she was asked to serve as a Distinguished Teacher in Residence at California State University San Marcos. She worked there for three years as an instructor in Literacy, Learning and Instruction, Cultural Diversity, and Foundations of Education. She also worked as a University Supervisor for students in the middle school program. After returning to her school district, she became a principal of Valley Center Primary School where she remained until her retirement from that system.

For the last five years, she has proudly served as a University Supervisor for the MAT program at OSU Cascades. She has volunteered for a number of non-profit organizations and is now Board President of St. Vincent de Paul Social Services of Bend, Oregon.
