7. Supervisors - In some cases, supervisors will contact employees at home to inform them of closure or curtailment information.
For morning operations, OSU-Cascades will make every effort to announce a closure or curtailment decision before the start of the work day. Announcements will be distributed and posted by 6:30 a.m. Unless otherwise informed, employees and students are to assume that OSU-Cascades is open and that they are to report to work and class. In the event of a closure or curtailment, employees deemed essential may be required to work.
Campus and street parking during snow
- Campus Parking Lot — An area of the lot near the residence hall may close during snowstorms to allow facilities staff to plow and maintain safe conditions.
- Chandler Ave. Parking — When the City of Bend declares a snow emergency, parking is restricted on Chandler Avenue. City snow emergency declarations are independent of weather closure decisions made by OSU-Cascades. The university may remain in session during a City snow emergency.
