International Student Orientation

Orientation

Online orientation components will be sent to your OSU Email.

What We'll Cover

At the beginning of each term, OSU-Cascades holds an orientation program for new international students. This program is designed to provide you with valuable information and facilitate your transition to OSU. By participating in the International Student Orientation, you will gain essential information about:

  • immigration rules and regulations that affect your visa status
  • student health services and health insurance requirements at OSU
  • academic life at OSU-Cascades
  • campus and community resources
  • advising and registration

Immigration Document Check-in

Immigration document check-in is required for all incoming international and exchange students in all OSU and INTO OSU programs. This includes students who are transferring to OSU from another school in the US.

You can start this process early by filling out our online forms:

  1. Make sure you have set up your ONID e-mail. If you have not done this, this link will give you instructions on how to do so.
  2. Go to ipconnect.oregonstate.edu
  3. Login with your ONID login and password.
  4. Click "New Student Orientation" section on the left and select "Immigration Document Check-In"
  5. Fill out all of your information and upload documents

Once you are finished with this you should plan to arrive for the first day of orientation and attend the event “Immigration Document Check In.” During this check in we will review the online forms you submitted and your documents - please make sure to bring your I-20/DS-2019s, passport, and dependent documents with you.
