Summer Academy Housing

On-campus housing is included with overnight registration. Live on campus, eat in the Beaver Dam café and experience college life!

Room Types

Room types for Summer Academy are doubles. You’ll share a room with one roommate. Rooms have attached bathrooms including shower that are shared with one other room of same gendered participants.

Room Details

  • Extra-long (36"x80") beds & mattresses in all residence hall rooms
  • Rooms include bed, desk, chair, dresser, and closet
  • Linens provided (Sheet set, light blanket, pillow, towels)

 

Bathrooms

All rooms have private or semi-private bathrooms containing a shower and toilet. Semi-private bathrooms are shared only with the other residents of the adjacent suite. There is also one gender-inclusive single-user bathroom (contains a shower, toilet and sink) on each floor.

Kitchen Facilities and Equipment

Summer Academy participants will eat meals in the dining hall, but a shared kitchen on each floor is available to participants. It includes a refrigerator, microwave, cooktop and oven. No cooking in student rooms (permitted only in kitchenettes).

Lounges

The residence hall has a large main lounge on the first floor with pool, couches and large televisions. There is also a lounge on each floor adjacent to the kitchen which has couches and big-screen TV. Cable TV included in lounges.

 

Fitness Center

The fitness center for campus is located on the first floor and is open to Summer Academy participants.

On-Site Staff

  • Live-in conference housing staff and program chaperones provide after-hours support for facilities issues and questions
  • Chaperones are available for questions and concerns for student participants
  • Program director will be available on-call 24-7 through staff members and will reside on campus for the duration of the program.
  • All conference programming staff have criminal history and background checks per necessity of employment, and have gone through OSU Youth Safety and Compliance Training.
