A degree in economics gives students transferable skills, as well as experience in informed decision-making and problem-solving, resource allocation, and research into economic issues and trends. Careers in the economics field are adaptable and diverse which leads to many promising career opportunities and paths.
Graduates can work within the local and federal government, public and private banks, insurance companies, a think tank, financial consultancies, and accountancy and banking firms.
Economics graduates are also prepared to enter programs in computer science, law, health care administration, business (MBA), public policy and administration (MPA), and other fields.
