Overview
Oregon State University recognizes the essential partnership of school districts and the experienced professionals who support OSU teacher candidates in clinical placements. In appreciation of this service, OSU provides Reduced Tuition Vouchers to partner districts based on the number of licensure candidates hosted.
The Voucher program allows eligible school district employees to enroll in qualifying OSU courses at a reduced tuition rate. Vouchers may be used for Ecampus, undergraduate, and master’s-level graduate courses and may be applied to any credit-bearing subject (with noted exclusions).
Tuition Discount
Each Voucher provides a two-thirds reduction in regular OSU tuition for the approved course(s). Example: If tuition is $1,500, the Voucher reduces the cost to $500.
The discount applies only to tuition, not university fees or course-related costs.
A Voucher may be redeemed for up to 8 credits per term (unused credits are forfeited).
Eligibility Requirements
To redeem a Voucher, an individual must:
- Be a current school district employee of a partner district.
- Have partner district support to use the voucher system. Vouchers are issued to the district, and each district sets its own policy on how Vouchers are distributed.
- Enroll in an eligible OSU course (Ecampus, undergraduate, or master’s-level graduate).
- Submit “Reduced Tuition Approval form” to the school district office for initial approval. The District will then forward to the appropriate OSU contact by the 4th week of the term for final approval.
Exclusions & Limitations apply.
