Community Tours There is so much interest in OSU’s growing campus in Bend. That’s why we launched a monthly (third Fridays) tour program for community groups. The 90-minute tour includes a classroom session with an overview of the decades of contributions by community members, as well as a walking and van tour. |
It starts with moving earth
Work is underway to prepare land for the first eight acres of a future 24-acre innovation district.
From brownfield to blue sky
Land remediation has begun and will continue the transformation of the former Deschutes County Demolition Landfill into buildable land. The project was funded with $10 million in support from Oregon State University, $24 million from the Oregon State Legislature, as well as a $2 million grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's brownfields program.
Follow the progress
Our engineering and construction partners collaborated to design a remediation plan that is as safe as possible, that limits truck trips to and from the site, and that is efficient in its use of resources and funding. Follow the progress through weekly reports.
