Jen has almost 20 years of experience working in the experiential education field. She has taught at OSU-Cascades for the last five years in the Tourism, Recreation and Adventure Leadership (TRAL) department. In addition to teaching, Jen has served as Executive Director for a nonprofit grant-making foundation that focuses on creating sustainable communities. She also serves on the Board of Directors at The Environmental Center in Bend. Outside of pursuing career passions, Jen loves to spend time with her family and dogs in nature, on her mountain bike or skis, and tending to her vegetable garden!

Before coming to OSU-Cascades, Wendi worked at Central Oregon Community College for 13 years in a variety of roles: faculty, faculty advisor, Outreach Coordinator for Health Careers and Career Connected Learning Navigator. She has taught a variety of courses at COCC, including College Success, Career Planning, Job Search Strategies, Intro to Health Careers, Positive Psychology, Cultural Responsiveness in Health Care, Study Strategies and more.

Before earning her master's in counseling, she worked in health care as a registered nurse and public health nurse. She started her career in the field of environmental and outdoor education. Outside of her passion for helping students plan for their futures, she loves getting outdoors to camp, hike, ski, mountain bike and recharge her batteries.

Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) Certification 

With over 15 years of experience in education, Jeremy has honed his skills in the classroom as an English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher at an international school, working with students from around the world. He also worked as an academic and behavioral coach for college students and young adults before accepting the position of career advisor at OSU-Cascades. Jeremy adds to his life experience by having lived abroad in Uppsala, Sweden and Seoul, South Korea. Outside of work, Jeremy enjoys the company of the mountains, whether that is through hiking, camping, snowboarding or flying drones.
