The Mobility Lab works to help Central Oregon communities understand and proactively manage innovation as technology is rapidly changing how we travel. The Mobility Lab is a collaborative effort led by OSU-Cascades, with support from the City of Bend, the Bend Metropolitan Planning Organization, and St. Charles Health System.
Following the example of many cities across the USA, we’re educating the community, informing policy, and testing transportation technologies to encourage implementation of those that can safely and efficiently move people and goods.
The Bend Mobility Lab effectively creates a symbiotic relationship between OSU-Cascades and local agencies – a “town and gown” initiative. OSU-Cascades will support research, development, and testing of innovative mobility solutions within our community. OSU-Cascades benefits by creating a Central Oregon “center of excellence,” offering hands-on learning for students within a ‘living’ laboratory.
