Bend Park and Recreation District, Kids INC Program
Get a $5,250 scholarship plus earn an hourly wage.
Interested in leadership, recreation, working with kids, or community involvement? Earn an hourly wage, plus a $5,250 scholarship, when you work with Kids INC one of Bend’s most established after-school care programs for children and youths. You’ll lead them in indoor and outdoor enriching activities, and help create a positive, welcoming and safe environment.

Work in locations and recreation settings around Bend, with school age children or youths.

Commit to 20 hours a week until June 17, 2027

Work Monday to Friday from 2 to 5:30 p.m., Wednesday from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m.

Take time off during Bend La Pine School District holidays (typically match OSU designated holidays)
Applications are reviewed weekly. BPRD is looking for students to work with them for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Early Childhood Career Development
The Early Learning Career Development Program pays full-time tuition for students interested in working in the child care field, provides part-time work in child care for student participants, and provides mentoring and career advising. It is open to students at OSU-Cascades and Central Oregon Community College. Available for summer and fall 2026. Apply today. Program funding expires December 31, 2026.
- Work in approved childcare settings in Deschutes County.
- Commit to 12 to 20 hours a week through December, 2026.
