Build and enhance your leadership skills with The Cascades Leadership Institute - a series of courses and programs designed to provide you with diverse perspectives, engaging service-learning experiences and skills to help you lead with integrity.
LEAD Summit
LEAD stands for Leadership Experience and Advocacy Development. This program highlights skills for student success and will help you identify your strengths. Faculty and staff will lead workshops that explore topics such as time management, advocacy, digital identity, group dynamics, health and wellness, and emotional intelligence.
Rooted in Justice
Rooted in Justice is an immersive leadership retreat grounded in social justice, community engagement, and systems-level change. Through interactive seminars facilitated by local community organizations, participants will explore how systems and institutions operate, how inequities are created and sustained, and the skills necessary to challenge and transform them.
About the Programs
LEAD Summit is held once a year in the Fall, while Rooted in Justice is held once a year in the Spring. You must complete an application via Bend Beavs Central and be accepted in order to participate.
Students who are accepted and participate will be awarded a completion certificate and graduation cord.
LEAD Summit will be held on November 6, 2026, with applications opening on July 24. Application will be linked when it becomes available.
