Alexandra Borstad, PT, Ph.D.
Clinical Professor and Director
Dr. Alexadra Borstad joined the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at OSU-Cascades in 2024 where she is a Clinical Professor and serves as the program director.
Specializing in care for people with neurologic dysfunction, Borstad was a clinician for fifteen years before earning her Masters degree and then Ph.D. from The Ohio State University in 2012. She completed post-doctoral training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Ohio State and joined the DPT Program faculty at The Ohio State University in 2013. In 2016, Borstad joined the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minnesote where in addition to teaching in Neurologic and Research portions of the curriculum she served as the program Research Coordinator.
Dr. Borstad's research interests include contributing to our understanding of sensorimotor control to inform rehabilitation for people with central nervous system dysfunction through advances in measurement and intervention. Course design and outcome for international Service Learning and transcultural adaption of rehabilitation outcome measures for Spanish language.
Borstad serves as a peer-reviewer for several neurologic rehabilitation journals.
John Borstad, PT, Ph.D.
Clinical Professor
Dr. John Borstad is a clinical professor in the OSU-Cascades DPT Program, joining the faculty in 2024 after serving as the department chair at the College of St. Scholastica for eight years. Prior to that, Borstad was an associate professor at The Ohio State University. During his time in academic physical therapy, Borstad has taught biomechanics, evidence-based practice, orthopedics, therapeutic exercise, professionalism, and has mentored student research projects and case studies. Borstad is an editor of Therapeutic Exercise; Foundations and Techniques and co-authors the shoulder chapter in Joint Structure and Function; A Comprehensive Analysis.
Dr. Borstad earned a B.S. in physical therapy in 1993 and a Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Science in 2004, both from the University of Minnesota, and completed a Fellowship in Higher Education Leadership in 2018. His scholarship focuses on the effects of soft tissue alterations on shoulder biomechanics and on clinical shoulder measurements. His research has been funded by the NIH, NHTSA and Komen for the Cure. Professionally, Borstad has served as a Delegate to the APTA House of Delegates, reviews abstracts for the Academy of Orthopaedic Physical Therapy and the Academy of Education, and is a site reviewer for the Council on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education.
Erin Fitzgerald, PT, DPT, NCS
Assistant Clinical Professor
Dr. Erin Fitzgerald is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the DPT program, where she teaches leads the basic science curriculum for neurologic content as well as teaching within the clinical coursework. Prior to joining OSU-Cascades DPT program, Fitzgerald taught within the Neuroanatomy, Neuroscience and Neurologic Patient Management curriculum at the University of Southern California in both residential and hybrid pathways. In addition to teaching, Fitzgerald has 9 years of clinical experience working with people with neurologic diagnoses in the outpatient, inpatient rehabilitation and ICU settings at Keck Medical Center of USC and the USC Faculty Practice.
Fitzgerald holds a doctoral degree in physical therapy from the University of Southern California and completed a Neurologic Physical Therapy Residency at USC/RLANC. She has been a board-certified Neurologic Clinical Specialist since 2015. Additionally, Fitzgerald has over 6 years of experience in clinical research working with recovery of the upper extremity in people with chronic stroke, imaging for people with chronic pain, and exercise intervention with people with mild cognitive decline at risk for development of Alzheimer’s Disease.
Holly Gullickson, PT, MPT, DPT, OCS
Clinical Assistant Professor
Dr. Holly Gullickson is a clinical assistant professor at OSU-Cascades. She has been part of the DPT program since 2021 as associated faculty, assisting in the Anatomy, Therapeutic Exercise series, Foundations of Clinical Biomechanics, and Biophysical Agents courses. Gullickson leads Professionalism and Cultural Competence and Business Administration in Physical Therapy within the DPT curriculum and works as part of the clinical education team.
Gullickson is a graduate of Loma Linda University (MPT) and the University of Montana (DPT). She has practiced in outpatient physical therapy for her career, serving as a clinical instructor to students from many physical therapy programs. She was recognized as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist in 2007, currently maintained with emeritus status, and is an APTA Credentialed Clinical Instructor (2014). Prior to moving to Bend, Gullickson owned a practice in rural Washington state, treating a general but varied orthopedic and neuro caseload. Gullickson's professional interests include anatomy education, professional behaviors development in DPT students, and general orthopedic physical therapy.
JJ Hannigan, Ph.D., ATC, CSCS
Assistant Professor
Dr. JJ Hannigan is an assistant professor in the DPT program, where he will lead the biomechanics, analytical anatomy, and research courses. Hannigan joined OSU-Cascades from San José State University, where he was an assistant professor in their Kinesiology program.
Hannigan earned his Ph.D. and M.S. in Human Physiology (Biomechanics) from the University of Oregon, a Master of Athletic Training degree from Saint Louis University, and a B.S. in Exercise Science from Saint Louis University. He completed his postdoctoral work in the FORCE Laboratory at OSU-Cascades.
Hannigan was a competitive distance runner, but was frequently injured, which ultimately led him to conduct research on running injury biomechanics. Hannigan’s research focuses on identifying biomechanical risk factors and improving treatment strategies for orthopedic injuries across the lifespan, including running injuries, ACL tears, and knee osteoarthritis. He is an active member of the American Society of Biomechanics, International Society of Biomechanics, and the American College of Sports Medicine. In addition, Hannigan has been involved with local community service work for the Latino Community Association.
Christina Inman, PT, DPT, ATC, OCS
Interim Clinical Education Coordinator
Dr. Christina Inman is the Interim Clinical Education Coordinator for the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at OSU-Cascades. Inman oversees the clinical internship programs and the integrated clinical experiences throughout the DPT program, as well as assisting in the Anatomy and Orthopedic series. Previously, Inman was a kinesiology and pathology instructor at Central Oregon Community College.
Dr. Inman attended Chapman University and received her B.S. in Athletic Training. Inman went on to Western University of Health Sciences in California and earned a Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2010. Dr. Inman is an experienced clinician working over 10 tears in Outpatient Orthopedics clinics in Southern California and Central Oregon. She achieved her Orthopedic Clinical Specialist certification in 2013 and became a Credentialed Clinical Instructor through the APTA in 2023.
Inman is dedicated to her role in supporting students as they navigate the transition between didactic coursework and clinical integration. Dr. Inman gains a lot of enthusiasm from the students as they explore the varied clinic settings and caseloads to find their passions and direction in the Physical Therapy Profession.
Erin E. Jobst, PT, MPT, Ph.D.
Clinical Associate Professor
Dr. Erin E. Jobst is a clinical associate professor in the DPT program, where she will lead the physiology, pathophysiology, and pharmacology courses. Prior to joining OSU-Cascades, she was on the DPT faculty at Pacific University for 15 years. She has also taught pharmacology courses for various organizations both nationally and internationally.
Jobst earned her master’s degree in Physical Therapy from the University of California, San Francisco/San Francisco State University and her Ph.D. in Physiology and Pharmacology/Integrated Biomedical Sciences from Oregon Health & Science University. Jobst did 5 years of post-doctoral research in the Division of Neuroscience at the Oregon National Primate Research Center, investigating feeding circuits and potential obesity treatment targets. In addition to her expertise in physiology, Jobst is passionate about direct patient care, and continues to practice part-time in the acute care setting.
Jobst has co-authored the text “Pharmacology for the Physical Therapist” (McGraw-Hill, 2nd Ed, 2020). She is Series Editor of “Physical Therapy Case Files” (McGraw-Hill), a series of case-based books – in Acute Care, Orthopaedics, Neurological Rehabilitation, Sports, and Pediatrics – designed to assist students in the transition from classroom-based knowledge to implementation of evidence-based assessments and interventions. Jobst is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association including the sections on Acute Care, Cardiovascular & Pulmonary, and Education.
Kathryn Lent, PT, Ph.D., DPT
Clinical Assistant Professor
Dr. Kathryn Lent is a clinical assistant professor in the DPT program, where she leads the musculoskeletal anatomy sequence and the motor development and pediatric rehabilitation courses. Prior to joining OSU-Cascades, Lent taught within the anatomy and pediatrics curriculum at the University of Washington DPT program. In addition, she brings with her extensive experience working in inpatient and outpatient pediatrics.
Lent earned her doctoral degree in Physical Therapy and her Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Science from the University of Washington. Her research is largely centered around diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in rehabilitation, as well as pediatric rehabilitation. Dr. Lent’s scholarly work includes professional presentations and publications in the areas of LGBTQ+ health, disability studies, and racial/ethnic health disparities. In addition, she has been actively involved in numerous DEI and Rehabilitation DEI committees and councils. She is a member of the APTA.
Peter Schrey, PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS
Clinical Assistant Professor
Dr. Schrey is a clinical assistant professor at OSU-Cascades. He joins the core faculty after being an associated faculty member in the program since 2021 and prior to that, a clinical instructor and outpatient orthopedic clinician since 2005. Schrey leads the Foundations of Clinical Biomechanics, Biophysical Agents, Sports Physical Therapy, and Orthopedic Management of the Spine courses as well as assisting in the Therapeutic Exercise Orthopedic Management series, and the Capstone project.
Schrey received his B.S. degree in Kinesiology from San Francisco State University and his DPT from Regis University, graduating in 2005. He has been APTA Orthopedics Certified Specialist (OCS) since 2011 and has been a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) since 2005. Schrey has also been a Credentialed Clinical Instructor through the APTA since 2010. Throughout his career, Schrey has been working in outpatient orthopedics and sports physical therapy, more recently specializing in lower quarter dysfunctions in athletes. His advanced training includes manual therapy, McKenzie system, strength and conditioning, gait analysis, functional biomechanics, and pain science. Schrey has been a clinical instructor, certified by the APTA for 14 years. He has volunteered on sports medicine teams at numerous sporting events over the years, including being selected for the 2008, 2012 and 2021 USATF Olympic Trials and 2022 World Athletics Championships Sports Medicine Teams. Schrey is an active member of the APTA, Academy of Orthopedic Physical Therapy and serves on the Foot and Ankle Special Interest Group board.
Schrey is passionate about clinical reasoning, injury prevention, and modern management and advancing the public perception of physical therapy. Dr. Schrey is very excited to be a part of the OSU-Cascades DPT program, helping to train the future of the profession in a wide variety of courses.
Meredith Wampler-Kuhn, PT, DPTSc
Clinical Assistant Professor
Dr. Meredith Wampler-Kuhn is a clinical assistant professor in the DPT program. She joins OSU-Cascades from St. Charles Health System, where she co-leads the ASCENT Cancer Survivorship Program as part of her role as Lead Physical Therapist. Wampler-Kuhn previously taught within DPT programs at UCSF/San Francisco State University and University of Puget Sound and will be teaching across the patient management and neurology curriculum at OSU-Cascades.
Wampler-Kuhn earned a B.A. in Biology from Westminster College, a B.H.S. in Physical Therapy from University of Missouri, and a DPT Sc. from University of California, San Francisco and San Francisco State University. Wampler-Kuhn’s clinical background includes acute care, neurologic physical therapy, and over 18 years of experience in treating patients with cancer.
Research interests lie in management of the patient with cancer and in cancer survivorship. She has published several peer reviewed manuscripts on her clinical research, chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy and balance impairments and presented at the APTA’s Combined Sections Meeting (CSM). She is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association Oncology Section, and is a board-certified Oncology Clinical Specialist.
Jordon Zardinejad, MBA

Jordon Zardinejad grew up in the Portland area and attended Oregon State University where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 2002 and a Master of Business Administration in 2003. After working in manufacturing, production, and marketing, Jordon began working in higher education as a graduate admission counselor and has over fifteen years of experience in higher education graduate admissions.
Lindsey Berg, DPT, NCS

Dr. Lindsey Berg received her Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2009 from the University of Washington and has worked at St Charles Medical Center since 2010. She has broad experience in treating patients with neurological and geriatric conditions in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. She has a special interest in treating patients with vestibular and balance pathology. Berg is a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in neurologic physical therapy.
Robert E. Boyles, PT, DSc, OCS, FAAOMPT

Dr. Boyles is a Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists and certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist. He received his entry-level MPT degree in Physical Therapy in 1991 and completed his Orthopaedic and Manual Physical Therapy Residency and Doctoral degree in 2002 from U.S. Army-Baylor University. His primary areas of instruction are in orthopaedics, which includes evaluation and intervention, manual therapy treatment techniques for the spine and extremities, and musculoskeletal imaging. Boyles has taught on-line imaging courses for the University of the Incarnate Word tDPT program, Medbridge, and Fisioteapia Interattiva (Italy). He has taught multiple continuing education courses in manual therapy, and imaging for Physical Therapists for the Department of Defense, the APTA, PTWA, Evidence in Motion, and privately, throughout the world. Boyles is actively involved in research with publications in the fields of manual physical therapy of the spine and extremities, and musculoskeletal imaging. He is a two-time recipient of the Rose Award for Excellence in Research awarded by the Orthopaedic Section of the APTA and he received 2017 Award for Clinical Excellence from the Washington State Physical Therapy Association (PTWA).
Shannon Compton, PT, DPT, NCS, CBIS

Dr. Shannon Compton is an associated faculty member in the DPT program. She completed her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center - Tulsa. She moved to the West Coast after graduate school and specialized in treating individuals with a range of neurologic conditions, including traumatic brain injury, stroke, concussion, vestibular disorders, and neurodegenerative conditions. She currently works in the outpatient setting, but has worked in many different care settings throughout her career.
Jay Dicharry, MPT, SCS

Jay Dicharry completed his Masters of Physical Therapy at Louisiana State University Medical Center and is a Board-certified Sports Clinical Specialist. Dicharry’s career blurs the line between clinical practice, coaching, and engineering to solve problems and optimize performance. Dicharry built his reputation in biomechanical analysis as Director of the SPEED Clinic at the University of Virginia and is the Founder of MOBO. Dicharry writes for digital and print media and has authored two books on running gait, “Running Rewired” and "Anatomy for Runners." Dicharry enjoys an active research career and has published over thirty-five professional journal articles and book chapters. He also consults for the running and cycling industry, the US Armed Forces, USA Track and Field, USA Triathlon, and athletes across the world. Having taught in the Sports Medicine program at UVA and the DPT program at OSU-Cascades, he brings a strong bias towards patient education, and teaches internationally to elevate the standard of care for Therapists, Physicians, and Coaches. He is excited to share his research-driven focus and expertise to build our students into critical thinkers and push the needle in our profession.
Meg Doan, PT, DPT, ATP

Dr. Meg Doan received her DPT from Duke University in 2011 and has focused her clinical practice in spinal cord injury rehabilitation. Doan worked for the Seattle VA's Spinal Cord Injury/Disorder clinic in both inpatient and outpatient rehab for 10 years and had the honor of providing care to veterans from around the northwest. Her love of adaptive technology developed there and has grown to include an Assistive Technology Provider certification from the Rehabilitation Engineering Society of North America. Doan currently works for a local durable medical equipment company helping to match people with the adaptive technology that will help them function as independently as possible.
Mike Edgerton, PT, NCS, ATP

Mike Edgerton received his B.S. in Biology from the University of Washington and his B.S. in Physical Therapy from the University of Washington. He has been practicing full time as a physical therapist for 28 years, specializing in neurological physical therapy and wheelchair seating/positioning. Edgerton currently works in the inpatient rehabilitation unit at St. Charles Medical Center in Bend and also runs a wheelchair/seating clinic. He is certified as a vestibular rehabilitation specialist and a Neurological Clinical Specialist by the American Physical Therapy Association. Edgerton is also certified as an Assistive Technology Professional by the Rehabilitation Engineering Society of North America.
Katie Farrell, PT, DSc, ACEEAA

Dr. Katie Farrell is an associated faculty member in the DPT program. Farrell received a B.S. in Physical Therapy from Quinnipiac University, an M.S. with a focus in neuroscience physical therapy from the University of Pittsburgh, and a D.Sc. with a focus in geriatric physical therapy from Rocky Mountain University. Farrell has over 20 years of experience in entry-level physical therapy education and is currently working at Providence ElderPlace. Her areas of practice are in both geriatric care and neurorehabilitation.
Hannah Fugle, PT, DPT

Dr. Hannah Fugle is an associated faculty member in the DPT program. She received her Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2017 from Northern Arizona University. Fugle has built her career working in a number of outpatient clinics, but also has experience treating within the inpatient rehab and acute care settings. She specializes in treating individuals with neurologic diagnoses including stroke, Parkinson’s diseases, multiple sclerosis, vestibular disorders, imbalance/falls, and concussion. Fugle is passionate about educating the next generation of physical therapists through clinical instructing, and now participation in the OSU DPT program.
Jenna Gates, MPT, NCS

Jenna Gates received her Master’s in Physical Therapy from Quinnipiac University in 2010 and is a Board Certified Neurologic Clinical Specialist. Gates has spent the majority of her career working with the neurological population in the inpatient rehab setting, specializing in patients who have acquired spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, strokes, complex multi-trauma, and Guillain-barre syndrome. Prior to relocating to Bend, Gates worked at the Rehabilitation Institute of Oregon (RIO) in Portland for 7 years where she co-led the spinal cord injury and burn team treating patients from the Oregon Burn Center. She is currently working at St. Charles in the outpatient neurological setting and enjoys volunteering with Oregon Adaptive Sports.
Nick Hagen, PT, DPT, SCS, CFMT, CSCS

A licensed physical therapist since 2009, Dr. Nick Hagen is also a certified strength and conditioning specialist and certified sports clinical specialist. He is a faculty member of the Institute of Physical Art. Hagen completed his undergraduate training at The University of Colorado in Boulder and physical therapy school at the University of California San Francisco. After PT school, Hagen completed a sports physical therapy residency in Vail, CO at the Howard Head Sports Medicine Center.
Following residency training, he completed a traveling sports fellowship learning sports medicine with the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). In 2016, Hagen completed a certification through IPA physical therapy to be a certified functional manual therapist. Hagen is a board director of the Oregon National Strength and Conditioning Association. Hagen is a journal editor for the Journal of Orthopedic and Sports Medicine and The International Journal of Sports Physical Therapy. He has been published in the International Journal of Sports Physical Therapy, Australian Journal of Strength and Conditioning, and through the APTA and has provided care for NBA, NFL, MLB, and US Ski Team Athletes.
Sprague Hanavan, CPO

Sprague Hanavan CPO has been a Certified Prosthetist/ Orthotist since 2001. He started his career focusing on pediatric orthotics. Hanavan now is the practice manager at Summit Orthotics and Prosthetics in Bend Oregon where his main patient load is now prosthetics, both lower limb and upper limb. Hanavan enjoys the medical environment in Bend due to the long lasting relationships between the physicians, physical therapists and his own field. Kelsea Hulstrom, PT, DPT

Dr. Kelsea Hulstrom graduated from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT in 2019 where she helped to coordinate the cadaver lab for the College of Health Professions. Hulstrom is currently working in the outpatient orthopedic setting, though has experience in the cardio thoracic ICU, medical ICU, outpatient neurology, and aquatic therapy.
Lisa Konitzer, PT, DSc, OCS FAAOMPT

Dr. Lisa Konitzer is an associated faculty member in the DPT program. Konitzer completed her Masters of Physical Therapy from the University of Indianapolis, her Doctorate of Science in Physical Therapy from Baylor University, and a Fellowship in Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy from Army-Baylor University. She is a Board-Certified Orthopedic Specialist and a Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists. For over two decades, Konitzer served in the United States Army, where she honed her craft in a variety of stateside and deployed settings, from outpatient orthopedics to operational clinics and inpatient hospital care. During her tenure in the Army, she participated in research studies on low back pain, knee osteoarthritis, and achilles tendonopathy. In addition, Konitzer championed initiatives for direct access within the Defense Health Agency and played an important role in updating Clinical Practice Guidelines for low back pain for The Department of Defense and the Veterans Affairs. Since retiring from the Army, Konitzer has transitioned to outpatient private practice.
Jamie Krefting, PT, DPT

Working for many years in marketing Dr. Jamie Krefting returned to school to study physical therapy as her second career. Krefting received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of St Augustine for Health Sciences in Austin, Texas in 2016. Since graduating she has provided physical therapy services to children in central Oregon with a variety of neurological, genetic and movement disorders. She is committed to helping her clients and families achieve their goals and reach their fullest potential.
Kari Lindegren, DPT

Dr. Kari Lindegren received her Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2015 from Emory University and is a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist. Prior to moving to Bend, she worked for both Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles specializing in pediatric orthopedics and sports medicine but treating patients across the continuum of care from acute care to outpatient pediatrics. Lindegren also has experience working with patients of all ages with pelvic floor dysfunction. She currently owns a physical therapy practice in Bend for children and adolescents with sports, orthopedic, and pelvic floor conditions.
Brock Monger, PT, DPT, ATC, CSCS

Dr. Brock Monger earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Creighton University, and a B.S. in Exercise and Sports Science with his Athletic Training education from the University of Utah. Monger joins OSU-Cascades with over 20 years of clinical experience; he co-founded and directed a thriving rural outpatient physical therapy practice in Central Oregon for 13 years. His background includes implementation of injury prevention programs, community-facing physical therapy practice, wellness promotion, and serving diverse rural populations. His athletic training experience ranges from Winter Olympic Games coverage to volunteering on high school football sidelines.
Carol-Ann Nelson, PT, DPT, NCS, MSCS,

Dr. Carol-Ann founded Destination Rehab (501c3) in 2016 to address the isolation and lack of outdoor recreation for adults with neurologic conditions. She received her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Duke University before moving to Florida where she worked as a Physical Therapist in a Neuro specialty center (Brooks Rehabilitation). She sees patients with a variety of complex neurologic conditions including spinal cord injury, stroke, Parkinson's, brain injury, cerebral palsy and multiple sclerosis. Nelson is a licensed physical therapist in Oregon, MS Certified Specialist, and was Vice President of APTA Oregon from 2018-2021.
David Seck, PT, DPT

Dr. David Seck graduated with his DPT from Marquette University in 2015. He has extensive experience working with individuals with neurological insults across inpatient, community reintegration, home health, and outpatient settings. He especially enjoys working with individuals with stroke, traumatic brain injury, vestibular, spinal cord injury, and neuro degenerative conditions. Seck is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Neurology and has obtained additional certifications in his pursuit to improve his clinical skills that include Certified Brain Injury Specialist, Certified Stroke Rehabilitation Specialist, Credentialed Clinical Instructor, and PWR! certified therapist.
Joy Torbett, PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS

Dr. Joy Torbett received her B.S. degree in Biopsychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara and later went on to complete her DPT degree from the University of Southern California in 1999. She began her career as a physical therapist working in acute care and neuro rehab at USC University Hospital in Los Angeles. Torbett then continued her post-graduate education, taking advance courses in Orthopedic Manual Therapy of the Spine, Medical Screening, Musculoskeletal Imaging, Orthopedic Differential Diagnosis, and completing a year-long Manual Therapy curriculum in 2001. In 2004 she was recognized as a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) and in 2006 as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). Torbett has mentored PT students from a variety of universities as a Clinical Instructor for over 10 years, and she has even volunteered and worked as Adjunct Faculty at the University of Southern California’s Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy Department. Since 2010, Torbett has been working here in Central Oregon treating patients with various orthopedic conditions incorporating manual therapy, patient education, therapeutic exercise, and functional training.
Jennifer Troth, PT, MPT, DPT

Dr. Troth is a member of the associated faculty at OSU Cascades, and has been in clinical practice for almost three decades. Troth earned her BA in Physical Education/Human Biodynamics from UC Berkeley, and her Master of Physical Therapy degree from UC San Francisco/San Francisco State University. She completed her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree with the University of Montana in 2017. Dr. Troth has worked in a variety of physical therapy settings, including outpatient, acute care, skilled nursing, and home health, She co-owned a small physical therapy private practice from 2009-2017. Troth has guest lectured at UCSF/SFSU’s physical therapy program, as well as in OSU Cascades’ kinesiology department, and has served as a clinical instructor since 1998. Troth's clinical interest areas include geriatrics, falls prevention, aquatic physical therapy, home health, and hospice care.
