About Tabling
"Tabling" refers to passive outreach or promotion of information targeted toward students and/or employees in designated spaces on campus. OSU and non-OSU entities may table on campus, given they have an approved Outlook reservation and following Tabling Terms below.
There is one outreach table in the Student Success Center (located just within and to the right of the main entrance on the 00 level). There are two outreach tables in Obidian Hall (both located near the 01 level fireplace between Study Grounds and the Beaver Dam).
Reserving a Table
Only OSU employees can reserve an outreach table (non-OSU entities must have an OSU sponsor). To reserve an outreach table, simply create an Outlook calendar event and request one of the following as the event location:
- Cascades OBSN TBL 1
- Cascades OBSN TBL 2
- Cascades SSC Lounge TBL 1
Tabling Terms
- Please do not begin tabling until approval is received groups tabling without approval may be asked to vacate the space.
- Tabling is permitted Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM through 5:00 PM in designated spaces. Groups cannot block entrances, exits, hallways or interfere with campus operations, including Dining Services.
- Groups may reserve only one table at a time, unless your activity qualifies as a larger event. If your activity requires more space or assistance than the designated tabling area, please request the OBSN Beaver Dam, OBSN Study Grounds, or SSC Lounge through OSU-Cascades Event Services.
- Groups may not distribute items available for purchase from Dining Services unless purchased by Dining Services or an exception is approved. OSU-Cascades departments may sponsor external group tabling, but are responsible for the external group's adherence to these terms.
- Groups must abide by all OSU policies and OSU-Cascades operational rules. Violation of these terms will result in an initial warning, then request to vacate the area, and possibly restriction on future tabling reservations.
