Unsatisfied Requirements

You may be asked to provide additional information or documents to the financial aid office before any financial aid can be offered to you. If you are asked to provide additional information, it would be listed on the home page under "Unsatisfied Requirements" once you log into your financial aid portal through My.OregonState.Edu. You can upload all forms and documents directly into the financial aid portal or email them to financial.aid@oregonstate.edu. Be sure to include your full name and OSU ID number on all pages and sign where necessary before submitting.

  • Go to My.OregonState.Edu and login to your student portal using your ONID username and password
  • Select the 'Finances' tab
  • Select the 'Financial Aid' link on the right
  • Additional requirements/documents/forms are listed on the home page under 'Student Requirements' in red.

Accepting Your Award Offer

You can accept, decline, or revise your financial aid offer by completing the following steps. Please click here to watch the YouTube tutorial.

  • Go to MyOregonState and login to your student portal using your ONID username and password
  • Select the 'Finances' tab
  • Select the 'Financial Aid' link on the right
  • Select the "Award Offer" tab
  • Review and select accept/modify/decline aid offers
  • Select "Submit" to confirm your decision.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • Grants and scholarships are monetary gifts. You are not required to pay them back if you accept them.
  • Loans have to be paid back if you accept them.
    • You are not required to accept the loan offers.
    • You can accept the loan offers in full or enter only the amount you would like to borrow by selecting the 'modify' option. You will need to enter the amount in the box before selecting "Submit". The amount you accept will be evenly divided between the terms you are attending.
    • If you are a first-time borrower, you must complete the following online modules at studentloans.gov:
  • You must enroll in at least 6 credits each term to receive federal student aid. The wait-listed courses do not count for financial aid hours.
  • You must register by the Financial Aid Census Date each term. The courses added after the census date cannot be used for financial aid hours.
