TRIO Excellence Fund Scholarship
In addition to the resources TRIO SSS provides, TRIO further supports students through awarding annual scholarships to those who meet the following criteria:
- Admitted to TRIO
- 3rd year or higher college student
- 2.5 GPA or higher
- Receive Pell Grant or have unmet need
Awarded aid will be deposited directly to student accounts.
TRIO Grant Aid
TRIO SSS also provides annual grant aid to students who meet the following criteria:
- Admitted to TRIO
- 1st or 2nd year college student
- 2.5 GPA or higher
- Full-time student (12 credits or more per term)
- Have unmet need

Travel Stipend
If you are planning to go on a university approved, for-credit international experience abroad, please consider applying for our TRIO SSS Travel Scholarship. The Scholarship covers your entire round trip airfare. Be on the lookout for the special announcements for more information

Circle of Change Leadership Conference
“The Circle of Change Leadership Experience is a three-day conference opportunity that connects student leaders from all over the country with an incredible diverse leadership network of professionals that will provide them with the inspiration, leadership development training, and professional skills needed to take their personal and leadership experience to the next level. It is an experience that will positively change your life forever”.
Students who are selected to attend this conference with TRIO SSS will be expected to purchase their conference registration. However, SSS will cover airfare, hotel and food for students who are selected.
TRIO Leadership Conferences
TRIO SSS takes a group of students once or twice a year, to leaderships conferences. Students will have the opportunity to learn leadership skills and make professional connections while attending these conferences! So far, students have been able to participant in conferences in Los Angeles, California and around the state of Oregon.
"The Oregon TRIO Association (OTA) organizes an annual Student Leadership Conference (SLC) designed to develop essential leadership skills for future success. These conference workshops are aimed at teaching participants how to develop skills in specific areas of leadership so that they may integrate them into their daily lives, to bring about changes in their communities, families and for their own personal growth. We also aim to encourage students to explore their academic and career interests in pursuit of their goals and their future success.
The conference takes a hands on and practical approach to learning by presenting participants with choices, providing them with the opportunity to ask questions, encouraging dialogue among themselves, and helping students to better understand their role as leaders and the various ways leadership might present itself.
