President

Whitney McFarlane

Hello, my name is Whitney McFarlane, and I serve as the ASCC President. This is my fourth year going into the Associated Students of Cascades Campus and I absolutely love it. I am double majoring in Political and Social Science with a focus in law and society. I grew up in Southern California; however, I absolutely love the rain and snow. Some of my hobbies include sewing, hiking, traveling, and cooking. My time in Bend has shown my how unique OSU-Cascades is and has grown my passion for student involvement and inclusion. I am extremely passionate about being an advocate for all students and I look forward to making a difference in student life on campus.

Vice President

Allison Barr

Hi! I'm Allison Barr, Vice President of ASCC and Chair of the Student Fee Committee. I'm a senior studying Human Development and Family Sciences and have been actively engaged in research on community belonging and belonging on college campuses. As a first-generation college student and TRIO member, I understand the importance of creating inclusive environments where all students can thrive. Originally from Eugene, Oregon, I chose OSU-Cascades for its abundant opportunities and connections. I joined student government because I'm passionate about advocacy and transparency in leadership, and throughout my time here, I've worked hard to build long-lasting systems that create meaningful impact on our campus community. I'm committed to developing initiatives that will continue to benefit students long after graduation. Feel free to contact me at studentfees@osucascades.edu. I look forward to connecting with you!

Director of Legislative Affairs

Noah Schlossberg

Hello, my name is Noah Schlossberg, and I am both ASCC's Director of Legislative Affairs and the first chair of our Judicial Affairs Committee. This is my fourth-year majoring in Political Science, and my first year on our student government. I got my start in ASCC by attending meetings as public comment and asking questions, until enough people recommended that I run for an elected position that I eventually did. I’m most interested in improving transparency and communication and laying the groundwork for others to succeed. I have been told that it is rare for public comment to run for office, and I hope that my work can change that.

Chief of Staff

Julia Fast

My name is Julia Fast, and I serve as the Chief of Staff for the Associated Students of Cascades Campus (ASCC). I am a member of the Honors College, majoring in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology with a minor in Business. After completing my undergraduate degree, I plan to attend medical school and pursue a career in medicine. I grew up in a small rural town, which has given me a strong appreciation for the value of community. As a lifelong Beaver fan, I joined student government to help strengthen our community and contribute to experiences that will make a lasting impact for students.

Director of Student Advocacy

Charlie Woekel

Hi! I’m Charlie Woekel, and I am the Director of Student Advocacy for ASCC. I am a second-year political science major with an option in law and politics, and a minor in psychology. I am from Corvallis, Oregon, and I chose Bend to escape the large campus feel of Corvallis and find my own way of life. This is my first year serving on student government, and I couldn’t be more excited! I joined student government to improve this campus and community I have fallen in love with at OSU-Cascades, while gaining valuable experience for my life ahead. My hobbies include all things football and hockey, playing volleyball, snowboarding, playing guitar, and collecting LEGO. I am very excited for the school year and the possibilities to come!

Director of Graduate Affairs

Lex Sossaman

Hey there! I’m Lex Sossaman, and I serve as the ASCC Director of Graduate Affairs. I am a 2nd year student in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program here at OSU Cascades! I am passionate about helping others and love learning new things. In my free time, I love watching movies, crocheting, and going to trivia with my friends. In this position, I want to help create an inclusive, welcoming, and supportive environment for all our wonderful graduate students. I look forward to serving you all this year, and if you see me walking around campus, don’t hesitate to say hi!

Director of Student Affinity Experiences

Samiera Mason

My name is Samiera Mason, and I’m the Director of Student Affinity Experience here at OSU-Cascades. I’m majoring in Psychology with double minors in Business and Human Development and Family Sciences. I’m originally from Arizona, and what drew me to OSU-Cascades was the smaller class sizes and the beautiful environment of living in Oregon. I’m always up for an adventure—whether it’s exploring Bend, hiking new trails, or finding hidden gems around Oregon! I joined ASCC because I truly believe every student should feel welcomed, heard, and empowered during their time here. Community and belonging matter deeply, and ASCC, together with The Bridge, has been amazing in creating those spaces. I wanted to be a part of that work and help ensure every student knows these resources are here and feels empowered to thrive while at OSU-Cascades.

Director of Sustainable Initiatives

Alisia Sisneros

Hi, my name is Alisia Sisneros! I serve as the director of sustainable initiatives for ASCC. This is my third year in my position, and I am so excited to be back in this role. I am currently a junior majoring in Sustainability and Business. I love to skate, mountain bike, snowboard, and bake in my free time. Many of my outdoor sports have spurred me to be involved in protecting our planet but my interest in saving our planet began way before then going all the way back to the 7-year-old Alisia who was so upset learning about climate change for the first time. I wished for people to care as much as I did and thankfully now that is somewhat a reality. I love that I am able to advocate for and serve our students and our planet cohesively and think that everyone should feel they have their voice heard regardless of differences and hope to continue making that possible for our students in the upcoming year!

Vice Chair of Student Fee Committee

Carter Marsters

Hello, my name is Carter Marsters, and I’m the Vice Chair of the Student Fee Committee. I’m a second-year majoring in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology with a minor in Psychology. I’m from Perrydale, Oregon, a small town in the middle of nowhere. I was drawn to OSU-Cascades because of the small campus and outdoor activities. I enjoy being outside and doing things like snowboarding, hiking, and fishing. I joined the Student Fee Committee to learn more about the student fee and be a part of the growing community on campus. I’m excited to advocate for fellow students and make sure their voices are heard.
