Dr. David Wagner completed his doctoral work at The University of Utah where he focused on high pressure, entrained-flow gasification.  During his postdoctoral position at Umeå University in Sweden, he continued working with reacting-flow systems, specifically the gasification and combustion of biomass.  He has designed, fabricated, and operated other reactors ranging from bench-top assemblies to pilot-scale systems.  David used this experience to teach chemical engineering courses at San Jose State University before coming to OSU - Cascades as a Research Engineer in October 2016.  He is currently working on engine modification and fluidized bed systems with a focus of catalysis and combustion. In his spare time, David enjoys woodworking, hiking, and writing.
